Gray Finch started in 2013 as a shop full of curiosity on the small street of Kirkgate, in Ripon North Yorkshire. Filled with wonderful things from all over the world, it is an emporium of luxury, inspired by Alice in Wonderland and Faux Taxidermy. The shop is no longer there as we are now online only, but we shall see what the future holds.

Left to Right; Georgia, Gaynor & Antony
We are a family, with Gaynor being Georgie's mum and Antony is Georgie's husband.

Gaynor studied fine art at Polytechnic, and therefore she definitely has the eye for design and the talent for creating anything she puts her mind to. Gaynor is the social media hero, so if you follow us on there, you'll have probably been talking to her. Gaynor is the creator of Gray Finch, who has a love for birds and hares or anything Alice in Wonderland-esk.

Antony is definitely the brains behind the brand and has dedicated his paternity days to getting the website right and the products on correctly. A real mathematician when it comes to numbers, and keeps everyone else in check with pricing and other fiddly bits and bobs.

Georgia is the lady behind customer service, and also behind the website design. She created Florilly, before it merged with Gray Finch and so Georgie helps with everything and anything to do with Gray Finch; a bit of an all rounder.

Frankenstein We couldn't do all of this without our mascot, Frankie. He's a cockerpoo, and loves distracting us when we're trying to sort out the website. We are huge animal lovers, so although we'd love a review from our customers, we'd also secretly love a picture of your pets too.

Gaynor is an incredible artist with a keen eye for detail. The art she makes is heavily inspired by Wonderland, Faux Taxidermy and a love of velvet. She started out with busts and heads for the shop, but then designed table centerpieces for Georgie & Antony's wedding that was Alice in Wonderland themed (of course). Her latest project has been creating Alice characters big enough to make a trail around Ripon, (this has been sidetracked for the website). Each creation is made by hand, and we will often place new art pieces for sale on Gray Finch, so keep an eye out on the Curiosities page.

We are a small family business, but we promise to always make sure our products are the highest quality, and our customer service is the best. We appreciate all your support, and we hope to continue to grow for years to come. We promise to always be true to ourselves, and our valued customers. We aim to continue to bring our customers the most interesting, quirky and curious products from all over the world.
